As a musician who is constantly practicing, performing, and teaching, I tend to develop quite a few thoughts on trumpet playing, music education, and life in general. Lately I've found that my brain space is filling up (much like the storage on my old iPhone 5S). Perhaps a cathartic way to clear some of this hard-drive space is to upload some thoughts to the internet.
For better or for worse, I've created a blog component on my website so that I can share some of my thoughts with the world. I am in no way committing to a weekly schedule of deep philosophical musings about trumpet pedagogy, or my life as a touring musician, but I will post content when time allows. So, as they say, "watch this space" for future posts.
Topics will largely be educational, and may range from ideas about playing the trumpet to important tips about career development . I will strive to embed links to YouTube videos, websites, and any other content that seems appropriate. I'll also be sure to share these posts on my personal social media accounts as well. I do hope these blog posts reach students out there who might benefit from some of my experience.
